How to fix our country IMHO
Let’s stop being the world’s police. That is not our job. We are sending our young men to die in conflicts that usually are good causes but really have nothing to do with us. The counties which are actually involved usually don’t want us there, either. Let them sort out their own problems.
We need to change the way we send aid to other countries. There either needs to be a clear agreement for reimbursement before we help or it should be a donation system where the American people can send whatever money they want (tons of supplies went to Haiti this way). Not for profit groups are also really good at helping other countries.
We need to focus on our own country for awhile. We need to start producing more goods and importing less. We need to spend less on helping foreign countries and more on fixing our own problems. Better, more affordable healthcare and education. Clean up the festering shit pile in Washington. Focus on protecting the integrity of our nation and paying back our debts.
But mostly the cleaning up Washington. Seriously. Fuck that shit.
